Hi Reader!
In case you didn't know, Terrell loves trying new foods. 😋 He encourages me to spread my wings, but he is the one who is open to many cuisines. So when we saw that Chick-fil-A released a pretzel chicken sandwich with that perfectly golden bun in the photo… it had him hooked. He just had to try it.
And here’s what hit us while he was eating:
That sandwich? Well, is is only available for a limited-time item. But the words we speak in marriage, in our daily lives? They don’t expire.
The things we say, especially in moments of frustration, worry, fear, or anger don’t disappear after the conversation ends. They linger. They echo. Sometimes, they even leave scars.

The tongue can speak words that bring life or death. Those who love to talk must be ready to accept what it brings.

Before you let words fly, pause. Think about the lasting impact they will have. Instead of tearing down, choose words that build connection, understanding, and love.
Solomon tells us in Proverbs 18 that our words have the power to give life, or bring death, to build up or tear down.
This week, we want to challenge you to:
➡️ Pause before reacting.
➡️ Ask yourself, “Will my words heal or hurt?”
➡️ Choose the words that align with the Promise not the problem.
And by the way yes, the sandwich is as delicious as it looks. 🥨🙌
Speaking of trying new things, don’t miss this week’s Travel with the Turners video! 🎥 We took a road trip to Hocking Hills, Ohio and had an unforgettable time hiking through Old Man’s Cave. If you’ve ever wanted to try something new together as a couple or a family, this video will give you all the inspiration you need.
See what happens when we try a new restaurant!
